Taking advantage of the available used nuclear imaging cameras from the human clinical marketplace we were able to craft an Equine Nuclear Imaging camera that was customized for the size and nature of horses. Special software, support and positioning stand play important roles in completing the system.

THE EQUISTAND II
The EQUISTAND II incorporates more than twenty years of experience building gamma cameras for equine scintigraphy. It allows a veterinarian to quickly and quietly place the gamma camera detector any where around a standing horse. Imaging from above the back to below the hoof is easy to accomplish with the NuCam jumbo rectangular detector. GE, Siemens and Picker detectors can be fitted to the EQUISTAND II. Systems may be custom designed to your requirements.
Motion Correction Software
This software improves diagnostic confidence. It removes motion artifacts, eliminates the need to repeat a scan and terminate the acquisition early. This results in better scans, faster scanning times, and higher profit from greater throughput. High quality images can be inexpensively printed, faxed, or sent by email.
As new computer options become available, they can be incorporated into the Veterinary Mirage.
